NDO – Cambodian Government, in collaboration with the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace, held the Asia-Pacific Summit (APS) 2019, themed “Responding to the Current Key Challenges”, in Phnom Penh.

* The 11th China – US Political Party Leaders Dialogue opened in China’s Beijing, attended by some 50 representatives from political parties, think tanks and businesses of the two countries.

* US President Donald Trump said would consider the provision of written testimony or attend the House of Representatives’ impeachment hearings, although so far, he has rejected the Democrats' investigation to impeach the president.

* Troops of India and Pakistan exchanged heavy fire and mortar shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) dividing Kashmir. Meanwhile, six Indian soldiers was killed as due to an avalanche buries in the north of the LoC.

* European Union reached a deal on the bloc’s 2020 budget that boosts spending on fighting climate change, EU border protection and setting up Europe’s own satellite system.

* Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defense Systems signed an agreement to sell electro-optic Spike anti-tank missiles and launchers to the German army.

* The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said that Iran’s heavy water production plant was in operation and its stock of heavy water for reactors has surpassed the limit set under an agreement signed in 2015.

* The US imposed sanctions on four companies and two people operating in Syria, Turkey, the Gulf and Europe for providing financial and logistical support to Islamic State.

* China confirmed that 15 were killed and nine others injured in a coal mine gas explosion in Pingyao county in northern China's Shanxi Province on November 18.

* Passengers were urgently evacuated after a smoking bag was found in a stationary Southwest Airlines flight at the US’ Chicago Midway International Airport.

* Five civilians from a village in the west of the Republic of Tchad were killed in an attack by Boko Haram jihadists.
