NDO - The Ha Long International Cruise Port, in the northern province of Quang Ninh, received Diamond Princess cruise ship, carrying over 2,500 passengers on board, on January 28, the fourth day of the first lunar month.

Diamond Princess is the first cruise liner to have arrived in the port in the Year of the Rat.

The cruise tourists are from various countries in America, Europe and Asia. They are scheduled to visit Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO-recognised World Natural Heritage Site, and take a city tour to places of interest in Ha Long City, before casting off towards Hong Kong (China).

Japan’s Diamond Princess, built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., is one of the county’s largest vessels at nearly 280 metres long with a capacity of up to 2,700 passengers.

The five-star fleet offers cruise trips to Asian countries including Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Hong Kong (China), China, and Japan.
