NDO – Ho Chi Minh City will stage firework displays at seven different locations from 0-0.15 am on January 24, on the night of Lunar New Year's Eve.

The fireworks will take place at high altitudes at two venues, namely the entrance to the Saigon River Tunnel in District 2 and the Landmark 81 skyscraper in Binh Thanh District.

The five other locations will have fireworks set off from lower heights, including at Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11), National Cultural and Historical Park (District 9), Ben Duoc Monument Temple (Cu Chi District), Can Gio District football field, and Nha Be District Administrative Centre.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requested the Ho Chi Minh City High Command to coordinate with the Department of Culture and Sports and other relevant units to develop plans, chair and coordinate with departments and inter-district officials to effectively perform the preparation and organisation of fireworks, ensuring absolute safety in the process of transporting fireworks at firework sites and areas where people will gather to watch the fireworks.
