In the final of the 30th SEA Games men’s football held on yesterday evening, Vietnam U22s defeated Indonesia U22s 3-0, thereby winning the first SEA Games gold medal in men's football after 60 years. Two days earlier, the Vietnam women's football team also won a gold medal by beating arch rivals Thailand 1-0.

During an official visit to Russia, National Assembly Chairwoman, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, also expressed her emotion and pride at the historic victory of Vietnam U22s at the 30th SEA Games.
