Susanna Dinnage, who was due to take charge as new chief executive of the Premier League, has changed her mind and will not be replacing Richard Scudamore after all, the league said on Sunday.

* Jon Jones returned from a 15-month doping ban to reclaim the Ultimate Fighting Championship light-heavyweight title with a third-round technical knockout win over Alexander Gustafsson, capping off a dominant display with a series of ground strikes.

* Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has expanded his business stable by taking over tiny Spanish lower-league soccer club FC Andorra, the player's Kosmos investment group said on Saturday.

* Ryoyu Kobayashi became the first Japanese man in more than 20 years to win the opening leg of the Four Hills ski jumping competition in Oberstdorf, Germany on Dec 30. He scored a combined 282.3 points after two jumps to beat Germany's Markus Eisenbacher who finished in second on 281.9 points and Austria's Stefan Kraft in third with 280.5 points.

* A clinical and "obsessed" India mopped up Australia's tail to win the third Test in Melbourne on Sunday (Dec 30) by 137 runs and take an unassailable 2-1 lead into the final clash at Sydney.
