NDO - The seventh International Traditional Martial Arts Festival officially concluded in Quy Nhon City, in the south-central province of Binh Dinh, on August 11.

The eight-day event attracted more than 800 martial art masters and practitioners from 20 localities across the country.

Furthermore, as many as 203 foreigners from 14 nations took part in the festival, including those from India, Germany, France, Austria, Italy, Canada and Morocco.

The Traditional Martial Arts Festival has become a triennial event instead of biennial one to ensure its effective organisation.

A number of activities aiming to honour the cultural values and quintessence of Vietnam’s martial arts were also held within the framework of the festival.

The festival also aimed to increase mutual understanding and solidarity among domestic and foreign athletes as well as to introduce the unique features of Vietnamese traditional martial arts.
