NDO - Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and other candidates from Can Tho city running for the 14th NA held a meeting with voters from Cai Rang district on May 5.

At the meeting, a representative from the municipal Fatherland Front introduced the biography and working experience of NA candidates to local voters while NA candidates presented their action plans.

Voters from Cai Rang district raised opinions and proposals to NA candidates, asking them to address several urgent issues when they are elected into the 14th NA, including stabilising the prices of fertilisers and plant protection products, facilitating patients with health insurance to access healthcare services, creating jobs for the young, building policy towards the elderly, among other issues.

In particular, voters suggested the NA and the government pay more attention to investing in Cai Cui Port, the national highway to the south of the Hau River and industrial zones in the city to facilitate the travel of the people and the transportation of agricultural products, contributing to generating jobs and improving the living standards of local people.

NA Chairwoman Ngan and other NA candidates appreciated the opinions of voters, saying that they expressed the responsibilities of voters towards the nation.

The NA Chairwoman and NA candidates promised to do their best to settle urgent issues raised by voters if they are elected to the 14th NA and to be a bridge between the NA and the government to deal with difficulties of Can Tho in the process of socio-economic development.
