NA Chair Ngan meets with voters in Can Tho

NDO – National Assembly (NA) Chair Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and candidates running for deputy roles in the 14th tenure NA of the Election Unit No.1 of Can Tho met with voters in Ninh Kieu district of Can Tho on May 4.

At the meeting, a representative from Can Tho’s Vietnam Fatherland Front presented the brief biographies and resumes of the candidates, and then the candidates presented their action plans to voters.

The voters expressed their pleasure with the candidates’ education, capacity and action plans, asking the candidates to take measures to address the country’s pressing issues if elected.

The voters wanted relevant agencies to seek ways to create jobs for new graduates, ensure food safety, protect sovereignty over borders, sea and islands, curb traffic accidents and respond to climate change effectively.

NA Chair Ngan and the candidates recognised and valued the valuable ideas of voters while giving explanations on matters raised by the voters.

They promised to fulfill their roles in law construction and oversight to the implementation of laws and NA resolutions while working with local authorities to pay further attention to socio-economic development and people’s livelihoods.
