Naval Zone 4 launches programme to support fishermen

NDO – The Naval Zone 4 High Command in coordination with the Binh Dinh provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held a programme to support fishermen on December 3.

The programme aims to present medicine and first-aid equipment to fishermen, while raising awareness about legal matters and national sovereignty over seas and islands.

On this occasion, the Naval Zone 4 High Command presented 20 gifts worth VND20 million; 150 life jackets, 700 national flags, flyers to popularise the Law of the Sea to fishermen in Binh Dinh province.

In addition, Naval Zone 4 High Command also coordinated with Military Hospital 108 to provide free medical examinations and medicine to 150 fishermen in central coastal localities.

Officers from the Naval Zone 4 High Command called on ministries, sectors, localities, agencies, and businesses to continue supporting the programme, accompanying fishermen in safeguarding national sovereignty over seas and islands.
