NDO – The Vietnam Tourism Association on February 25 requested domestic travel agencies to stop tours to countries hit by Covid-19 amid complicated developments of the disease in Japan, the Republic of Korea, Italy and Iran.

The association also urged travel companies to halt the reception of tourists from countries hit by Covid-19.

The end of the Covid-19 epidemic has not yet been determined, so tourism businesses should proactively restructure the market, improve the occupational skills of the tourism workforce and implement tourism stimulus programmes, the association said.

They are also recommended to keep themselves updated about the Covid-19 situation and abide by the Government and Health Ministry’s regulations on disease prevention and control.

On the same day, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism sent a document to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and travel agencies to announceVietnam’s regulation on 14-day quarantine for travelers who have passed through or came from Daegu City, Gyongsangbuk-do Province, and other affected areas.
