NA Vice Chairwoman visits policy beneficiary families in Khanh Hoa

NDO – A delegation from the National Assembly (NA) led by NA Standing Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families and needy households in Van Thanh and Dai Lanh communes, Van Ninh district, Khanh Hoa province on December 30.

Politburo member and NA Standing Vice Chairwoman Phong granted 100 gifts for Tet holiday worth VND1.1 million each to needy households and victims of Agent Orange (AO)/Dioxin in Van Ninh district.

The delegation also presented six gifts to representatives of policy beneficiary families in Van Ninhdistrict in addition to gifts to the Study Encouragement Asociations of Van Thanh and Dai Lanhcommunes.

The activity is part of the ‘Tet for the poor and AO victims’ programme launched by the Vietnam Red Cross Society.

The NA official acknowledged the valuable contributions of policy beneficiary families to the cause of national construction and defence. She also expressed her appreciation on local socio-economic developmentoucomes, social welfare policies and preparations for Tet in Van Ninh district.

She asked the local authorities, social organisations, and benefactors to continue to care for policy beneficiary families to help them celebrate a happy Tet.
