NDO – A ceremony took place on December 28 to officially put into use the inter-provincial route linking ring road 5 of Hanoi with Highway 38B and the Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway and La Tien Bridge, located in Diep Nong Commune, Hung Ha District, Thai Binh Province.

The ceremony was attended by Politburo member and standing member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong.

The project was approved within Decision No. 3102/QD-UBND, dated October 28, 2016, with a total investment of VND680.1 billion. The project has a total length of 7.8 km, of which La Tien Bridge is more than 1 km long, the road to Thai Binh Province is 5.6 km long, and the road to Hung Yen Province is 1.2 km long.

La Tien Bridge is 12m wide, consisting of two motor lanes and two rudimentary lanes. The two ends of the bridge are designed entirely according to the standards of the plain grade III road, the width of the road being 12m, the road surface being 7 m wide, and the designed speed is 80km/h. In addition, the system also built synchronous drainage works along the section through residential areas, crossroad culverts, embankments to reinforce the roadbed, and traffic safety systems on the route.

This is a key transport project linking the two provinces of Thai Binh - Hung Yen, creating a synchronous traffic network, shortening the distance from Thai Binh to the Northern provinces, contributing to the socio-economic development of the two districts of Hung Ha (Thai Binh) and Phu Cu (Hung Yen).

* In the morning of the same day, Politburo member Vuong also attended an inauguration ceremony for the Hoa River Bridge connecting Hai Phong City and Thai Binh Province via National Highway No. 37.

The reinforced concrete bridge measures 254 m long and 12 m wide, to be completed after eight months of construction at a total investment of VND185 billion.

* In the afternoon of December 28, Politburo member Vuong and his entourages visited and presented 100 gifts, each worth VND1.2 million, to families of policy beneficiaries and Agent Orange victims in Y Yen District, Nam Dinh Province on the occasion of the upcoming traditional Lunar New Year 2020.
