Thoi Nay publication marks 10th anniversary of first issue

NDO – ‘Thoi Nay’ (President Day), a publication of Nhan Dan (People) newspaper, held a ceremony in Hanoi on December 27 to mark the 10th anniversary of its first issue (2009-2019).

Since it was published on January 4, 2009, Thoi Nay has released more than 1,000 issues, which are routinely delivered every Monday and Thursday. The 24-page publication includes various columns covering a number of fields ranging from politics, economics, and society to culture, security, healthcare, defence as well as international affairs.

Addressing the event, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC Commission for Communication and Education, Vo Van Thuong spoke highly of the achievements and contributions made by Thoi Nay publication and Nhan Dan Newspaper in general to the popularisation of Party’s guidelines, State’s policies and laws.

He expressed his hope that the publication’s journalists and reporters will promote initiatives and prompt creativeness to produce higher quality press works which can meet the increasing demand of readers while also contributing to the national construction and defence.

Echoing the same view, Thuan Huu, PCC member and Editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, deputy head of the PCC's Communication and Education Commission and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists' Association, stressed that Thoi Nay publication has established a position in readers’ hearts and received great appreciation from colleagues.

On the occasion, Thoi Nay in coordination with the Vietnam News Agency Publishing House introduced to readers two books which collect the best reportages and investigation articles of the publication over the past decade.
