Christmas greetings extended to Christian community

NDO – Politburo member and Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai visited the Hanoi Archdiocese on December 19, to mark the upcoming Christmas celebrations.

The Politburo member wished a peaceful and happy Christmas to Archbishop of Hanoi Archdiocese Vu Van Thien and all Catholic dignitaries and followers. He asked them to continue to uphold their patriotic traditions and join hands in building a prosperous city.

* Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security visited and extended Christmas greetings to the Hanoi Diocese and Catholic followers at the bishopric area of Hanoi on December 19.

The Deputy Minister said that the socio-economic achievements of Hanoi and the nation were also attributed to the contributions of Hanoi Catholic followers.

He hoped that dignitaries and followers at the bishopric area of Hanoi will continue to unite people across the country to effectively implement the policies of the Party and State and to reinforce the great national unity bloc.

*On the same day, Minister of Home Affairs Le Vinh Tan also visited and sent his Christmas greetings to the Bishop of Phu Cuong Diocese in Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province.

*A delegation from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, led by its Vice President Ngo Sach Thuc, also visited and extended Christmas greetings to Catholic dignitaries and followers in the Thanh Hoa Diocese.

*The Government Committee for Religious Affairs has also sent its delegations to localities across the country to extend Christmas greetings to Catholic and Protestant communities.

They visited localities in Nghe An, Kon Tum, Ha Tinh, and Quang Tri.
