“I love my Fatherland” 2019 journey wraps up

NDO – The “I love my Fatherland” 2019 journey concluded at the Lung Cu Flag Tower in the northern province of Ha Giang on December 1 after nearly two months taking place in many provinces and cities across the country with the participation of thousands of young people.

The 2019 journey was launched at the Hung King Temple historical site in Phu Tho province in October. The journey featured various practical activities of Vietnamese youth, arousing and promoting patriotism among young people.

This year’s journey has gone through nine destinations, bringing about new experiences for delegates and meaningful stories about the homeland and patriotism, particularly, lifestyles and positive thinking of Vietnamese youth in the new age.

More than 1,000 young people participated in the journey at the Lung Cu Flag Tower on December 1 who joined a national flag salute ceremony and read an oath to devote their youth to protect and develop the country.

On the last days of the journey in Ha Giang province, delegates also offered incense at the Vi Xuyen Cemetery, presented gifts to soldiers working at the local border station and granted gifts to disadvantaged students, among others.

The “I love my Fatherland” 2019 journey was jointly held by the Vietnam Youth Federation, Thanh Nien (Youth) Newspaper and Vietjet air.
