Politburo members extend Tet greetings to locals in Nghe An, HCM City

NDO – Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged households in Nghi Loc district, in the central province of Nghe An, on February 3, on the threshold of the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.

Politburo member Hue asked after the health and lives of locals and delivered 100 Tet gifts to social welfare beneficiaries and poor households in the two communes of Nghi Phong and Nghi Thai.

Voicing his delight at the socio-economic achievements attained by Nghi Loc over the past year, the deputy PM asked the local Party committee, authorities and people to continue fostering solidarity and strive to harvest greater results in 2019.

He urged for measures taken to support the disadvantaged households, encouraging the needy households to rise above and promptly overcome difficulties.

On the same day, Nguyen Thien Nhan, Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, headed a delegation of the city to visit and offer Tet greetings to officers and soldiers of the HCM City Police and the municipal High Command on the occasion of the Lunar New Year and the 89th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930-2019).

Nguyen Thien Nhan, Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, extends Tet greetings to officiers and soldiers of the HCM City Police.

Nhan recognised and highly appreciated the significant contributions of the municipal police force in ensuring political security, social order and safety across the locality, especially during the upcoming Tet.

Visiting the HCM City High Command, the Politburo member extended his Tet greetings to all the officers, soldiers and their families.

He spoke highly of the crucial role of the army force in advisory work, combat readiness and exercises, especially in the coordination with functional forces to ensure political security and social order and safety ahead of, during and after the Tet festival.

On the same day, the municipal leader also paid pre-Tet visits to the Party organisations, authorities and people in District 10 and District 11.
