Smart city products and solutions showcased in Da Lat

NDO - An exhibition displaying products and solutions designed to build smart cities opened on December 24 in Da Lat, the capital city of the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.

The exhibition creates an opportunity for administrators, organisations, enterprises and individuals to exchange and introduce new technological solutions and promote IT application to meet Lam Dong’s socio-economic development needs.

Among the more than 20 display booths, ten are showcasing IT products and smart city building solutions, while the rest are for high tech in agriculture and characteristic agricultural produce of Da Lat.

Da Lat is piloting four applications in smart city building, namely a travel portal, a planning portal, a smart lighting system and a public Wi-Fi system.

With the travel portal, visitors can conveniently look for information on scenic spots, accommodations and food in Da Lat on their smartphones, while the planning portal provides public information on the city’s land use plans.

The smart lighting system has been installed at the Da Lat Market, Ong Dao Bridge and Lam Vien Square, reducing power consumption by 60-70%, while public Wi-Fi access is now offered at 14 areas in the city centre.

The exhibition is part of a series of events to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the establishment of Da Lat.
