NA Vice Chairman pays Tet visit to Da Nang City

NDO – General Do Ba Ty, member of Party Central Committee and Vice Chairman of National Assembly on January 15 visited former NA leader, former NA deputies, relevant agencies working with the NA’s Office and the NA’s agencies in the central and central highland regions, ahead of Tet (Lunar New Year) Festival.

Speaking at the meeting, the NA Vice Chairman extended his Tet greetings to the delegates, while informing of the NA’s operations in 2019.

The NA, NA Standing Committee, NA’s agencies and deputies have made great efforts and uphold their responsibilities to fulfill all assigned tasks.

In the last year, the NA passed 18 draft laws and codes with high rate of approval, as well as setting many important policies that attracted the attention of voters.

The year 2020 will witness many very important political and diplomatic events; therefore, the NA will focus on reviewing and completing all plans and programmes.

Earlier, General Do Ba Ty visited and worked with the Command of Military Region 5, hailing its achievements in the past year.

He also asked the Military Region 5 to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the resolutions and directives on military and defense missions set by the Party, State, Central Military Commission and Ministry of Defence.

On the occasion, the NA Vice Chairman extended Tet greetings to former NA leaders and several families of veteran revolutionaries in the City.

* Also on the same day, Nam Dinh provincial Labour Union held a Tet gathering to present gifts to workers who are living in difficult circumstances in the locality.

* On January 15, officers from the Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper’s representative office in Can Tho City presented 77 Tet gifts to poor and near-poverty households in Ta An Khuong Dong commune, Dam Doi district, the southernmost province of Ca Mau.
