NA Standing Vice Chairwoman works with Ninh Thuan

NDO - Politburo member and Standing Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly (NA) Tong Thi Phong held a working sesion with the south-central coastal province of Ninh Thuan on June 16.

At the working session, Ninh Thuan provincial authorities briefed the NA Standing Vice Chairwoman on the local socio-economic situation over the first six months of 2019 and on some key tasks for the remaining months of the year.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong praised the spirit of overcoming difficulties, striving to achieve positive results according to the targets set by the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee, especially the promotion of administrative reform and investment attraction.

In recent times, the province has focused on developing clean energy, towards the goal of becoming a renewable energy centre of the country; and scientific and technological advances in agricultural production, she noted.

The Vice Chairwoman acknowledged and promised to report to the NA on some proposals of the province, such as adding the planning of Ca Na Power Centre to the national electricity planning; investment mechanisms for solar power project combining transmission infrastructure of a 500kV Thuan Nam substation and connection line; support of reciprocal capital from the central budget for ODA projects; supplement the mid-term 2016-2020 plan of the Ministry of Education and Training to invest in the project to build and develop a branch of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry in Ninh Thuan, among others.

Previously, NA Standing Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong attended and inauguration ceremony of Phuoc Huu Solar Power Plant - Electricity 1. She also visited and presented 20 gifts to ethnic minority people in Phuoc Huu commune, Ninh Phuoc district and visited the family of late Secretary of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, Chamaléa Dieu.
