NDO/ VNA –The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee and the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) Central Committee have agreed on a number of measures to bolster their co-operation in the 2016-2020 period, including closer affiliation among their chapters in localities sharing a border.

During their talks between President of the VFF Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan and LFNC Central Committee Saysomphone Phomvihane in Hanoi on August 29, the two sides agreed to increase communications on friendship and comprehensive co-operation between the two countries among both peoples, especially the youth.

In 2017 when Vietnam and Laos celebrate their 55th anniversary of diplomatic ties and 40th anniversary of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Amity and Co-operation, the two sides will jointly organise celebration activities.

They will also coordinate with each other in receiving feedback on bilateral affiliation to serve the growth of each country.
