Political parties and organisations worldwide congratulate 12th National Party Congress

NDO - As of January 20, a total of 167 foreign parties and organisations around the world had sent congratulatory messages to the ongoing 12th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The congratulations included messages sent by the five ruling communist parties and ruling parties in neighbouring countries and others that Vietnam has traditional friendships with, namely the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, the Communist Party of China, the Cambodian People’s Party, the Communist Party of Cuba, and the Workers’ Party of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

The Congress was also congratulated by 27 political parties in Asia and the Oceania region including the Communist Party of India (CPI), the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M), the India National Congress (INC), the All India Forward Bloc (AIFB), the Workers Party of Bangladesh (WPB), the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), the Communist People’s Party of Kazakhstan (CPPK), FUNCIPEC Party (Cambodia), the Revolutionary Front for an Independent East Timor (FRETILIN), The Saenuri Party (The Republic of Korea), the Golkar Party (Indonesia), The United Malays National Organisation (Malaysia), The Union Solidarity and Development Party (Myanmar), the Mongolian National Democratic Party, the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party, the Mongolian People’s Party, the New Zealand Labour Party, the Komei Party (Japan), the Japanese Communist Party, the Democratic Party of Japan, the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan, the Social Democratic Party of Japan, the Australian Labor Party, the Communist Party of Australia, the Communist Party of Pakistan, the Communist Party of Sri Lanka and the People’s Liberation Front of Sri Lanka.

From the Middle East and Africa: the Egyptian Communist Party, the Socialist People’s Alliance Party of Egypt, the National Rally for Democracy (RND) in Algeria, the People's Movement for the Liberation of Angola, the Democratic Progressive Forum of Bahrain, the Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front, the Kurdistan Communist Party – Iraq, the Iraqi Communist Party, the Likud Party (Israel), the Communist Party of Lebanon, the Mozambique Liberation Front, the South African Communist Party, The African National Congress (ANC) of the Republic of South Africa, the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO), the Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah), the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), the Revolutionary Party of Tanzania, the Front Polisario of Sahraoui, and the National Congress Party (NCP).

In addition, the congress also received congratulatory messages from 28 friendship associations, and 12 embassies in Vietnam.

In their messages, the political parties and international organisations and friends voiced their belief and best wishes for the Congress’ success. They expressed their belief that the Communist Party of Vietnam would continue to lead the Vietnamese people to successfully realise reforms whilst building and firmly protecting socialism in Vietnam.
