In 2021, the ministry will continue to synchronously and flexibly implement domestic tourism stimulus and recovery policies. Accordingly, the tourism industry will develop plans to welcome back international tourists after the COVID-19 pandemic is brought under control, striving to serve 80 million domestic tourist arrivals and earn about VND337 trillion (US$14.57 billion) in revenue from visitors.

Regarding sports, the relevant units are making preparations towards successfully organising the 31st Southeast Asian (SEA) Games and the 11th ASEAN Para Games, as well as sending athletes to compete in other regional and international sporting events.

In addition, the ministry will strengthen cultural and art activities that harmoniously combine traditional and modern features, while working to preserve and promote national cultural identities.
