MoLISA holds Patriotic Emulation Congress

NDO – The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) convened the fifth Patriotic Emulation Congress 2020 for the 2020-2025 period in Hanoi, on November 17, in the presence of Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, who is the First Vice President of the Central Council for Emulation and Rewards.

The event also featured the participation of leaders of ministries, departments, branches and more than 200 outstanding people working in the sector. Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent flowers to congratulate the congress.

Speaking at the congress, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh highly lauded the results of the patriotic emulation movement the Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs sector achieved in recent years. In addition to advising the State and the Government on many documents related to poverty reduction, the Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs sector also responded positively to the emulation movement " the whole nation working together to help the poor escape poverty, ensuring no one is left behind.", contributing to supporting poor areas, poor households, near poor households and poor people.

The Vice President also noted that the MoLISA should focus on implementing the Labour Code effective from January 1, 2021, promoting the development of human resources, especially high-quality human resources meeting the developmental requirements of the country in the context of the fourth Industrial Revolution (also known as Industry 4.0) and international integration.

It is necessary to focus on reviewing the planning of vocational education networks, promoting career guidance and continuity in vocational education, focusing on the training of rural workers, promoting skilled worker export, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction and modern labor market development.

She asked the MoLISA to continue to improve the preferential policy for people with meritorious service to the revolution,proposing to increase the level of subsidies for people with meritorious service to the revolution in accordance with the economic conditions of the country, focus on resolving completely the rewarding of individuals with resistance achievements, and awarding and granting titles, in order to implement Party and State's guidelines and policies.

Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, as authorized by the President, presented the second-class Labour Medal to the Department of Social Insurance under the MoLISA. On the occasion, the MoLISA also launched the patriotic emulation movement in the sector for the period 2021 - 2025.
