NDO - The Central Organisation Commission held a virtual conference with Party groups from across the country on September 3 to discuss preparations for the upcoming national congress.

As of the end of August, the majority of 67 Party committees under the Central Committee has completed organising conventions above the grass-roots level, even in the cities and provinces affected by the coronavirus.

More than half have also completed the draft documents and personnel plans for reporting to the Politburo.

Speaking at the conference, Head of the Central Organisation Commission Pham Minh Chinh asked Party committees to make meticulous preparations for the upcoming 13th National Congress as guided by General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong.

He called for efforts to prevent irregularities in personnel matters and fight against signs of opportunism, factionalism and group interests.

Chinh also asked for a step up in communications about Party conventions at all levels, especially examples of good people and good deeds, as a way to stamp out corrupt behaviours.
