Various meaningful events mark Party’s 90th founding anniversary

NDO – A wide variety of meaningful events were held nationwide and abroad on February 3 to mark the 90th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) (February 3, 1930-2020).

An exhibition, themed “90th founding anniversary of the CPV – historical milestones”, officially opened at the National History Museum in Hanoi today.

On display are over 200 documents, objectives and photos that were divided into three categories : “The formation of the CPV in 1930”, “Historical milestones (1930-2020)” and “Building strong Party organisations”.

Among the exhibits, there were many valuable documents and objectives such as the book titled “Duong Kach Menh” (Revolutionary Path) written by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc in 1927; the keepsakes of Party General Secretaries; the newspapers and leaflets of the Party before September 2, 1945.

The exhibition is expected to help younger generations learn more about the formation, development and the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, as well as the achievements that Vietnamese Party and people have gained over the past 90 years.

The event will last until April.

* A photo exhibition, themed “Ho Chi Minh City youths are confident in the Party”, is being held in the City from February 3-16.

Nearly 100 showcased photos featured the formation and leadership of the Party; introduced the National Party Congresses and Ho Chi Minh City Party Congresses; and highlighted the activities and movements launched by the City’s youths to contribute to the Party building and national construction, defence and development.

The exhibition offered an opportunity for younger generations to carry out their responsibilities and roles in inheriting and promoting the heroic revolutionary tradition.

* On the occasion, visitors had the chance to enjoy many art works celebrating the Party, spring and the country, which were created by 54 Vietnamese famous painters over the generations, at an exhibition in Hanoi.

The event, titled “Forever Spring”, introduced 59 artworks made from different materials such as lacquer, oil, silk, watercolour, gouache, woodcarving and bronze statues.

The exhibits praised President Ho Chi Minh as well as featured the new life, beautiful springs, happiness and joy as well as the strong spirit to overcome difficulties of the people under the leadership of the CPV.

* On the occasion of Party’s founding anniversary, Yen Bai Newspaper launched its online English language version and pilot television channel online via the internet.

The English version of Yen Bai Online, at the website en.baoyenbai.com.vn, includes seven categories: News, Economy, Travel, Culture, Photo, Introduction of Yen Bai, and Potential and Investment.

* Also on February 3, the Party Committee of Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh in the premises of the embassy in the capital city of Phnom Penh.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Vu Quang Minh emphasised that the Party members of the embassy are always proud of the CPV. The reality over the past 90 years has proved that the correct leadership of the Party was the decisive factor of all of the victories from the Vietnamese revolution, he added.
