NDO - A ceremony was held on May 18 to honour the winners of a writing contest on studying and following the ideology, morality and lifestyle of President Ho Chi Minh for staff at 14 central Party agencies.

In his opening speech, Nguyen Van Binh, Head of the Central Economic Commission, stated that the movement is an important part in Party building, helping to make the Party stronger.

He urged the participating agencies to continue working together and frequently hold practical political activities such as this.

According to the organisers, from nearly 2,400 submissions, 135 works were shortlisted for the final round, after which independent experts selected the 35 best individual works for the awards.

Eight agencies with the most active participation were also honoured at the event.

The organisers said that many contest entries had well-researched and beautifully presented contents, demonstrating the authors’ respect towards President Ho Chi Minh and their passion in following his example.

Through the contest, many authors and groups of authors also mentioned various prominent issues in the Party building work.

At the awards ceremony, Nhan Dan Newspaper received one C prize for Anh Khoi and one consolation prize for Pham Thi Phong Diep.
