She appreciated the achievements that the cultural sector gained in the past year, contributing to improving the people’s cultural and spiritual lives, as well as promoting the image of the land and people of Vietnam to the world.

The NA leader also hailed the contributions made by writers and artists to the development of the national culture and arts.

NA Chairwoman Ngan stressed the important role of artists and writers in promoting the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies and laws to the people, as well as in educating human personalities, particularly for younger generations.

During the process of renewal and international integration, the artists should change their perspective and thinking in creation in accordance with development practices, she added.

The senior legislator asked the artists and writers to thoroughly grasp the reality of life, particularly in remote, ethnic minority, border and island areas, as well as actively participate in the fight against corruption and negative phenomena.
