NDO - National Assembly Vice Chairman Phung Quoc Hien has called on the northern province of Hung Yen to focus on reforming its administrative system towards developing a modern, dynamic and effective administration, while improving its business and investment environment.

The NA Vice Chairman made the request while attending a working session with the provincial leaders on August 24. The session focused on socio-economic development in the province, the implementation of the medium-term public investment plan for the 2016-2020 period, the national target programme on building new-styled rural areas, and the National Target Programme on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for 2016-2020.

Speaking at the meeting, NA Vice Chairman Phung Quoc Hien praised Hung Yen for obtaining encouraging results in recent years.

Hung Yen should also pay greater attention to human resource development and the application of high technology, while ensuring social security for local residents, he said, adding that the province should further boost their tourism infrastructure in line with the conservation and promotion of cultural values.

He also asked Hung Yen to accelerate administrative reforms and develop infrastructure and policies to attract further investment, while mobilising resources for the building of the socio-economic infrastructure system, promoting production and improving products’ quality, in addition to developing high technology agriculture.

Meanwhile, the province should pay attention to economic growth in order to ensure environmental protection, he noted.

During his stay in Hung Yen, NA Vice Chairman Hien and the NA working delegation offered incense at the memorial house dedicated to the late Party General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh and paid a visit to Hung Yen Plastic Joint Stock Company and the construction units of Hung Ha Bridge in Hung Yen city.
