NDO – Nearly 1,900 public and non-public preschools and primary schools in Hanoi welcomed their students back on May 11 following an over three-month break due to the Covid-19 epidemic.

At Thang Long Primary School in Hoan Kiem District, the national flag salute ceremony was held in the classrooms instead of gathering in the school yard as usual.

Once the music rings, all students still sing the national anthem and stare at the national flag in the classrooms.

From around 6am, teachers from Thang Long Primary School in Hoan Kiem District stood in front of the school gate to welcome students.

Teachers are on duty at school gates, measuring body temperature and disinfecting the hands of students.

The students were reminded to wear masks, avoid crowds and wash their hands continuously.
