NDO – More than 500 rose trees are blossoming at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi, reaching their peak from early days this March.

According to the site’s management board, most of trees are Sapa old roses, which are planted in Sapa Town, Lao Cai Province.

As the planting and tending of old varieties requires methodical technique, some of the site’s gardeners were sent to learn how to care for these roses and help them thrive.

Sapa old roses blossom all year round and can live up to 50 years or more.

Sapa old roses have broad shades and big petals, which can reach rice bowl size when given the best of care.

Roses show off their resplendent and elegant beauty when fully blossoming.

Roses are grown in both side of roads, creating a romantic look for the Thang Long Imperial Citadel’s space.
