About 180km away from Cao Bang city, Cha Ly A school is located in the difficult mountainous area of Bao Lam district, Cao Bang province.

The school has eight classes with 187 pupils and 12 teachers, most of whom are Hmong people. In this school year, Cha Ly A welcomed 34 first grade pupils.

Due to difficult circumstances, most of the pupils here walk to school. It even takes some of them four hours to walk from home to school.

Young pupils are happy to see each other again after the summer holiday.

First grade pupils are eager to attend the new school year ceremony.

While waiting for the start of the new school year ceremony, some parents take advantage of their free time to weave thread into cloth.
