NDO – The favourable weather in the early days of the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2019, the Year of the Pig, encourages a lot of Hanoians and tourists to flock to the streets to enjoy the festive atmosphere in a new spring.

Thousands of people visited the Temple of Literature in the first two days of the Lunar New Year.

People ask for parallel sentences from calligraphy scholars to bring home and hang to bring luck to their families in the new year.

Calligraphy hanging is one of most beautiful traditional customs to pray for luck and happiness in the new year.

In Hoan Kiem Lake area, the streets have been filled with crowds coming to take pictures right from the afternoon of the first day of Tet.
