NDO - As many as 1,200 blossom branches and 50 Japanese cherry trees are on display at at Ly Thai To Flower Garden in Hanoi under the Japanese Cultural Exchange 2017 and Japanese Cherry Blossom Exhibition that opened on March 10.

This is the second time the exhibition has been held in Hanoi to promote the Japanese land, culture and people to residents and visitors to the capital.

Branches of cherry blossoms measure from 1.2 metres to 1.6 metres long in three varieties of red, white and bright pink colours.

Before being put on display, the branches were well preserved under the instruction of Japanese experts to ensure the flowers’ freshness and ensure they bloomed right before the event.

Despite the drizzly weather, the event attracted thousands of visitors.
