Performing Arts Spring Festival (PAS) 2018

The PAS festival aims to celebrate all types of performing art by gathering all of the practises – amateur and professional – in Vietnam and South East Asia. The 2018 edition gathers 23 groups of children and adults coming from different art fields: theatre & improv, dance and movement, and music.

You are invited to the exhibition THE NORTHWEST LAND by artists Le Kinh Tai, Nguyen Quang Vinh, Le Minh Duc, Chu Van, and Bui Van Tuat.

The exhibition, inspired by the nature and people of Northwest Vietnam, is the result of an art workshop organized and funded by VICAS ART STUDIO in 2018.

Five artists with different styles have created 24 artworks that will on display at the exhibition. Five talented artists with five unique outlooks present profound and creative ways of “seeing” the mountainous northwestern part of Vietnam – a theme that is no longer new.

The A O Show features optical illusions and impressive acrobatics, paired with traditional music performances by a troupe of talented local artists.

Known as the Cirque du Soleil of Vietnam (minus the flashy outfits), this live show depicts the transition of rural Vietnam into today’s modern landscape, using props such as giant woven baskets, scaffolding, bamboo canes, and ropes.
