NDO – A music programme took place at the Hanoi Opera House on September 3 to mark the 50-year implementation of President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament.

The event brought to the stage songs and dances praising beloved President Ho and his love for the motherland as well as classic works by famous Vietnamese composers such as Do Nhuan, Do Hong Quan, Van Ky and Nguyen Tai Tue.

The performances were delivered by celebrated singers including People’s Artist Quang Tho, Meritorious Artists Bui Le Chi and Co Huy Hung, plus instrumentalists from the Vietnam National Academy of Music, and the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet.

The programme was held as part of Vietnam Music Day 2019, an annual festival honouring Vietnamese music, outstanding musicians and singers while promoting traditional and revolutionary values of the national music.

Over its ten editions, the festival has featured a string of musical events in various genres of symphonies, choirs, instrumental concerts, and shows of popular songs.
