NDO – An outdoor art programme was staged in Nguyen Hue pedestrian street in Ho Chi Minh city on August 30 in celebration of the 74th National Day of Vietnam (September 2, 1945-2019).

Co-organised by the municipal Department of Culture and Sports and the Ho Chi Minh City Television, the event attracted a large number of city dwellers and visitors.

With three chapters entitled ‘The Flag of Independence’, ‘The Flag of Reunification’, and ‘The Flag of Peace’, the programme featured songs and dances recalling significant historical milestones of the country over the past 74 years.

The performances brought to the stage celebrated Vietnamese singers, including People’s Artists Ta Minh Tam, Trong Huu and Thanh Ngan, as well as young talented artists namely Vo Ha Tram, Dong Nhi and Anh Bang.

The event aimed to inspire patriotism and national pride among spectators, thus raising the residents’ responsibility in building and developing the motherland.
