NDO - 18-year-old, Tran Tieu Vy, from the central province of Quang Nam, was crowned Miss Vietnam 2018 on September 16 after edging out 43 other women at the competition in Ho Chi Minh City.

Vy was one of the youngest contestants at the 16th edition of Vietnam's largest beauty pageant and will represent Vietnam at the Miss World contest later this year.

When asked what she would say to young people if she could travel 100 years into the future, the 1m74 tall beauty said "You should believe in your dreams and increase your knowledge in order to succeed. Your success could help people around you and make society better."

Vy just graduated from high school a few months ago and is now a first-year student at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education.

Nga and An will represent Vietnam at the Miss Grand International and Miss International contests respectively.
