Central budget supports localities in Covid-19 prevention and control

NDO – Under the Prime Minister’s Decision No.437.QD-TTg, issued on March 30, the mountainous and Central Highlands provinces will enjoy support with 70% of the real expenses of the State budget as prescribed.

The provinces and cities which have regulating ratios of the shared revenue to the central budget from 50% and over will proactively use local budget reserves for implementation.

The provinces and cities which have regulating ratios for shared revenue to the central budget under 50% will receive 30% of the support from the State budget.

The localities are allowed to use a maximum of 50% of the local budget reserve and 70% of the provincial financial reserve fund for Covid-19 prevention and control.

In the localities that must make great expense in the fight against the epidemic, if the local guarantee budget exceeds the local resources, the central budget will add the difference beyond the local resources.

The PM assigned the Ministry of Finance to review and give support from the central budget to each locality based on the regulations of the Decision No.437/QD-TTg and the real expenses from the State budget for Covid-19 prevention and control that are reported by the provincial People’s Committees.

The Ministry was asked to periodically report on the implementation results to the PM.

The Decision No.437/QD-TTg took effect on March 30 and will expire on December 31.
