NDO – Vietnam attracted US$23.48 billion worth of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first ten months of 2020, equivalent to 80.6% of the same period in 2019, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
NDO – Vietnam’s capitalisation of listed domestic companies (as a % of GDP) index rose nine places in 2019 and climbed nine places in the latest Global Innovation Index (GII) 2020 released by the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).

NDO - Pledges of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first nine months of 2020 were estimated at US$21.2 billion, down 18.9% compared with the same period last year, as shown by data as of September 20.
NDO - Besides the stable political and macroeconomic situation, the abundant young labour force, and a golden population structure, Vietnam's investment environment has seen the appearance of many new factors, helping increase its attractiveness to foreign capital flows. NDO – Hanoi disbursed VND26.6 trillion worth of public investment in the first eight months of 2020, equivalent to 58.6% of the yearly plan. The city authorities have asked all relevant agencies to implement synchronous measures to overcome the tough times caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and strive to disburse 97-100% of public investment in 2020.
