NDO – Song Lam Nghe An and Becamex Binh Duong have set up the final match of the Vietnam National Cup 2017 after their semifinal victories against Quang Nam and SHB Da Nang, respectively, on October 6.

After a 4-1 win in the first leg, Nghe An players were in a comfortable position during their trip to Tam Ky Stadium for the semifinal second leg on Friday.

Meanwhile, the hosts Quang Nam also bore little pressure, as they are focusing power on the remaining stage of the V-League 2017.

Therefore, both teams created a level match, with each side scoring three goals.

Despite failing to get on the scoresheet, midfielder Tran Phi Son was one of the best players of the match, producing two assists for his Nghe An teammates to find the net.

Nghe An’s scorers were Michael Olaha (22’), Danko Kovačević (50’) and Ho Phuc Tinh (88’), while Quang Nam’s goals went to Claudeeir (47’), Phan Thanh Hung (80’) and Nguyen Van Hau (90’).

On the same day, Becamex Binh Duong defeated SHB Da Nang 2-1 to claim the other final berth with an overall score of 5-2.

Gaston Merlo lit up Da Nang’s resurgence hopes with his 22nd-minute opener; however, To Van Vu equalised the score only six minutes later before Nguyen Anh Duc rounded off the victory for Binh Duong in the 33rd minute.

The first leg of the final match between Song Lam Nghe An and Becamex Binh Duong is scheduled to take place on November 25 in Binh Duong province, while the second leg is slated for November 30 at Nghe An’s Vinh Stadium.
