Leaders present Tet gifts to workers and beneficiaries nationwide

NDO - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC), and Head of the PCC Organisation Commission Pham Minh Chinh on February 12 visited and presented Tet gifts to workers of Hon Gai Coal Company under the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Corporation.
For this occasion, the company also arranged 24 coaches to bring nearly 1,200 migrant workers back to their hometowns as the Lunar New Year festival (Tet) is only a few days away.
On the same day, Politburo member Chinh made a visit to former leaders and policy beneficiaries in the northern province of Quang Ninh.
Also on February 12, Politburo member, Secretary of the PCC, and head of the PCC's Commission for Communication and Education Vo Van Thuong visited staff and workers of Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) in Ho Chi Minh City.
He urged QTSC to make greater efforts in order to catch up with the fourth industrial revolution, and to organise annual forums for gathering opinions from big businesses and investors on the company’s development.
According to Lam Nguyen Hai Long, Director of the Quang Trung Software City Development Company Limited, QTSC has been named in the list of top three technological parks in Asia and has become a trustworthy geographical indication of attracting foreign investment to Vietnam’s software sector.
QTSC now has 150 businesses, including 50 foreign enterprises, operating in the fields of software, digital content, and IT services, along with micro IT enterprises and start-ups.
On the same day, Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai paid a pre-Tet visit and inspected the combat readiness of the Criminal Police Department under the Hanoi Police.
He spoke highly of the police’s seriousness and their readiness for fighting and maintaining the capital city’s security and social order in all situations, adding that their achievements have enriched the traditions of the people’s police and the capital city.
