Institute of Posts and Telecommunications Technology marks its 20th anniversary

NDO - The Institute of Posts and Telecommunications Technology (IPTT) held a ceremony in Hanoi on September 16 to mark the 20th anniversary of its establishment (1997-2017) and receive the first class Independence Order.

The ceremony saw the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Vu DucDam appreciated the outstanding achievements that the IPTT has gained over the past 20 years.

He urged the institute to expand its scale as well as improve the quality of training in order to produce high quality engineers for central and local authorities.

The insititute also needs to make more efforts to become a high-quality centre for scientific research on IT, posts, and telecommunications in the region and around the world.

The Deputy PM asked the IPII to pay close attention to fostering and improving the qualifications of teaching staff and managers.

The IPTT was one of the first public universities in the country to implement autonomous operations. After 20 years of construction and development, the Institute has trained tens of thousands of bachelors, engineers, masters and doctors.

The rate of graduates who had jobs in the relevant fieldsof training was more than 93%. The Institute is striving to become a national key university in the field of information technology, posts and telecommunications by 2030.
