NDO - Ministries, agencies and localities should continue to raise their responsibility in managing and directing the implementation of policies and resolutions related to administrative reform.
The statement was made by Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, while chairing a meeting of the Government's Steering Committee for Administrative Reform to review its performance in 2017 and devise the tasks for 2018.
Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy PM, who is also the committee’s head, highlighted the outstanding achievements that have been gained in administrative reform, significantly contributing to creating a favourable and clear legal corridor for socio-economic development.
He also pointed out a number of inadequacies in administrative procedure reform, causing difficulties for people and enterprises.

He also urged the development of mechanisms, policies and laws in all fields, particularly science and technology, information and communications, and education and training, in order to improve the productivity, quality and competitiveness of the country’s economy.
The steering committee is required to closely coordinate with the ministries, agencies and localities to implement the assigned tasks, strengthening the administrative reform under the Government's motto of ‘Discipline, Integrity, Action, Creativity, and Effectiveness’, added the Deputy PM.
