Government launches action programme for effective political system

NDO/VNA – The Government recently issued Resolution 10/NQ-CP to launch an action programme on implementing Resolution 18-NQ/TW on reforming and reorganising the apparatus of the political system towards a streamlined, effective and efficient operation, dated October 25, 2017, and other related legal documents.
According to the programme, the Government has requested that the ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies and governmental bodies, as well as chairmen of provincial, central-city People’s Committees, to develop and issue Plans on implementing the resolution and related legal documents on reforming the organisation and management system, and enhancing the quality and effectiveness of public bodies.
The Ministry of Justice chairs and works with the relevant bodies to make proposals to the Government to report to the National Assembly on the programme to develop a supplementary law and ordinance making programme in 2018 onwards, with the focus on the laws and ordinances that need to be issued.
Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies and governmental bodies, chairmen of provincial, central-city People’s Committees are responsible for instructing and monitoring the implementation of the Government’s programme and their plans, in addition to making annual reports to the Ministry of Internal Affairs before December 10 for summary and reporting to the Government.
The Minister of Internal Affairs is in charge and works with the relevant ministries, agencies, and localities to monitor and push the implementation of the programme and make annual reports to the Government by December 31, while advising the Government on the necessary measures to ensure the comprehensive and effective implementation of the programme.
During the process of implementing the resolution, the ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies and governmental bodies, chairmen of provincial, central-city People’s Committees should actively make proposals to the Ministry of Internal Affairs on any contents that need to be revised for summary and report to the Government.
The resolution took effect from February 3.
