Government Office’s contributions to country’s development appreciated

NDO—“The Government Office has made numerous achievements in advising and serving the Government and Prime Minister, contributing to the country’s development in the past year.”

This statement was made by Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh at a conference held by the Government Office in Hanoi on January 11 to review its performance in 2016 and devise tasks for 2017.

The event was also attended by Politburo members PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Deputy PMs Pham Binh Minh and Vuong Dinh Hue.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh asked the Office to pay close attention to improving the quality of its work of advising the Government and PM, focusing on preventing factionalism and corruption.

It is highly essential to ensure the quality and feasibility of programmes and plans for the Government and PM as well as to be more active in advising, verifying and submitting for the issuance of the draft laws, ordinances, documents, mechanisms and policies, added the Deputy PM.

He noted that the working group of the PM should continue to enhance the inspection and monitoring of the implementation of the tasks assigned by the Government and PM to the ministries, agencies and localities.

The Deputy PM asked the Office to improve its capacity for analysing, forecasting and proactively detecting urgent problems and difficulties to propose appropriate measures to the Government and PM.

It is also necessary to ensure the material and technical conditions to serve the Government leaders as well as to accelerate the movement of practice and waste combat, enhance the work of Party-building and promote the study and following of President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morals and lifestyle, emphasised Deputy PM Binh.
