Themed ‘Vietnamese press accompanies with the country’s renewal’, the festival was co-organised by the Vietnam Journalists’ Association (VJA), the Party Central Committee (PCC)’s Commission for Communication and Education, Ministry of Information and Communications, and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The event aims to honour the strong development of the Vietnamese press as well as promote outstanding press works.

Editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper and the VJA’s Chairman Thuan Huu speaks at the opening ceremony for the festival.

Politburo member and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communication and Education Vo Van Thuong, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam and other leaders visit Nhan Dan Newspaper’s pavilions.

Four special areas were arranged on different themes: ‘Press with Party building’; ‘Press with the National Assembly and voters’; ‘Press with building of a Government of integrity, creativity and action’; and ‘Journalists’ ethics’.

Exciting activities are held at the pavilion of national broadcaster Vietnam Television (VTV).
