Each train consists of 15 carriages, including the locomotive, four of which are installed with high-quality seats.
Compared with the previous-generation trains, the seats are more comfortable and the luggage compartments are wider. In addition, the two ends of a carriage are reserved for storing oversized luggage.
The sleeping carriages are equipped with high-end furniture. Each passenger will have a reading lamp and a USB socket to charge their mobile phones.
Each carriage also has a bookshelf and four LED screen to help passengers entertain themselves during the journey.
Service attendants on these trains will possess better skills after completing training courses at the Vietnam Aviation Academy.
Most of the attendants will be able to speak English in order to serve foreigners on the trains better.
Airline meals are offered free of charge on these premium trains as a cooperative service between the VNR and the Southern Airports Services Joint Stock Company.
The carriage in the middle of the train is furnished with equipment to always keep food warm.
The meals are prepared and stored in accordance with a strict quality control procedure and delivered to the trains one hour before departure.
The premium trains will start running from January 10 and it will take 30 hours to travel between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
