NDO – A space imbued with the culture, tourism and products of Ha Giang ethnic minorities is being introduced in the capital city of Hanoi from October 27 to 29.
Hanoians, as well as domestic and foreign visitors, will have a chance to experience many exciting activities and improve their understanding of the life of ethnic minorities in the northernmost mountainous province of Ha Giang, when they visit the space that will open to public at Ly Thai To flower garden on Hanoi's walking street this Friday.
The event is being hosted by the People’s Committees of Ha Giang and Hanoi in order to introduce the special culture, attractive tourist destinations and typical products of Ha Giang, thereby, creating links and promoting tourism and economic development.
According to the Deputy Head of Ha Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trieu Thi Tinh, the province has great potential for tourism that requires a lot of effort to exploit and develop effectively. The local authorities have introduced the tourism destinations and products, organised tourism promotion conferences and developed new tourism products to make Ha Giang more popular among tourists and investors. The Ha Giang cultural space in the heart of Hanoi is expected to also serve this purpose.
Tinh expressed her belief that, in the near future, with great determination and the participation of the local authorities, businesses and people, the tourism products of Ha Giang would be more complete, on a par with the value of the landscape in the north pole of the country. Tourism would change the lives of the ethnic minorities in Ha Giang, she added.
Visiting the space, people will be able to join in with various traditional festivals of the Dao or Giay ethnic people, while enjoying folk songs and dances of the Mong ethnic group. They will be presented with opportunities to take part in folk games, enjoy artworks introducing the land and people of Ha Giang and taste the distinctive dishes of Ha Giang.
