NDO - The historic milestones of the UNESCO-listed ancient town of Hoi An, and Quang Nam province in general, are being told through an exhibition featuring relevant printing woodblocks and imperial decrees.
NDO – Having an interest in flying camera (fly cam) techniques for many years, photographer Lam Tu Khoa is now the owner of numerous film strips and photos capturing the central and Central Highlands regions, particularly his homeland Da Nang city.
NDO – The 2017 Vietnam – Asia Silk and Brocade Culture Festival will take place over two days from June 12-13 in Hoi An ancient city in the central province of Quang Nam, as part of activities under the ‘Quang Nam- heritage journey’ programme.
NDO –Cultures from cities and provinces nationwide will be brought together in Hanoi to perform on the walking street around Hoan Kiem Lake, in an effort to diversify cultural activities in the area, enhance cultural exchanges between the capital and other localities as well as meet the demand for cultural enjoyment of Hanoians and visitors alike.
NDO – Since 2007, meritorious Artisan Pham Van Vang from Bach Lien village, Yen Thanh commune, Yen Mo district, in the northern province of Ninh Binh, has nurtured the idea of restoring the ancient local Bo Bat pottery craft, an art which had been lost for around ten centuries. With unremitting efforts, he has successfully brought these pottery products to both domestic and international markets.
NDO – Two talented artists from Japan, Miura Fumiaki (violon) and Akira Eguchi (piano), will delight music lovers in Hanoi at the 21st edition of the annual Hennessy Concert, to be held at the Hanoi Opera House on June 4.
NDO - The classic children’s play ‘The Blue Bird’ by Belgian playwright Maurice Maeterlinck was featured on Vietnam’s Youth Theatre stage on May 11 and 12 under the direction of Belgian director Xavier Lukowsk and his Vietnamese colleague Si Tien.
