NDO - The First Edition of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (Eurocham) Greenbook was launched in Ho Chi Minh City on November 9 which features the five categories of renewable energy, waste and water management, green building, smart cities and other green business.

The first publication provides an overview of the state of affairs in Vietnam concerning the five aforementioned issues while introducing business opportunities, regulatory matters and recommendations to improve the green business environment in Vietnam.

The edition also showcases success stories of projects undertaken by European enterprises in Vietnam and a comprehensive company directory of green business expertise in Vietnam.

In addtion, EuroCham also made the debut of the interactive Greenbook website, the first portal of its kind in Vietnam, which is a platform for enterprises in the area of green business to boost their services and achievements in Vietnam.

Tomaso Andreatta, Vice Chairman of EuroCham and Chairman of EuroCham Green Growth Sector Committee (GGSC) said that: "These events are at the core of EuroCham’s mission as a chamber that stands for sustainable and environmentally conscious business. Eurocham has several members that offer services and products to improve the quality of the environment and of living, while being committed to conducting their business in a socially and environmentally responsible way."

According to the Greenbook, two thirds of the funds for green growth projects are sourced from the State budget. Thus, it requires further involvement from private enterprises so that the State only plays as a supporting entity.
